In Ukraine capital for its inhabitants and visitors they plan to open two aquaparks - in Osokorky and in Obolon districts. The construction works have already started.
It has been planned to finish till 2012. The complex will have the territory in 4,7 hectares with business- and shopping centres with parkings, cinema, the fitness centres, bowling-club, cafe, grocery shops and SPA-salons.
Also here there will be an aquapark which will include usual pool, «wave pool» (where by means of mechanisms the effect of sea waves is created) and so-called «the slow river» in the length 133 and width 3 metres. In the same place there will be a children's zone with pools by depth of 40 centimetres and attractions: 4 hydropipes, 2 open hills, 5 minihills, 6 water guns and falls. In total they plan to equip about 20 waterslides for descent of different height with exotic names: "The Black hole", "Multibackground", "Kamikadze", "Fast descent", "Giant".
One more aquapark will be constructed in Obolon. For its erection it is necessary to destroy show park "Gold gate" (a construction in the form of a fortress) in natural boundary "Natalka". I doesn’t work about five years. In due time here rock concerts, sports meets and even knightly tournaments were spent. The decision of the company which built it is to take down the golden gate. On this place they will erect the fitness centre, tennis courts, golf courses, summer pools and waterslides.
